Walk onto any construction site, mine, farm, or warehouse and you’ll find the same thing: clipboards, checklists, and carbon copies. Field workers fill them out. Someone drives them back to the office. An admin transcribes them into a spreadsheet — sometimes days later.

Records get lost. Handwriting is illegible. Auditors find gaps nobody knew existed. And managers make decisions based on data that’s already a week old.

This isn’t a niche problem. It’s an industry-wide pattern that costs companies thousands in rework, compliance penalties, and operational blind spots.

Why existing tools fall short

Digital form tools exist, but most of them assume one thing: constant internet connectivity. That’s a dealbreaker for the millions of field workers who operate underground, offshore, in tunnels, on rural sites, or simply inside buildings with poor signal.

What we’re building

FormRift is an offline-first field data platform. Here’s what that means:

• Forms work with zero signal. Your team fills out inspections, audits, and reports on their phone or tablet — even in airplane mode. Data saves locally on the device.
• Sync is automatic. The moment a device reconnects — Wi-Fi, cellular, satellite — everything uploads in the background. No manual step required.
• Managers see data in real time. A live dashboard shows submissions, completion rates, and team activity as data flows in. No waiting for field data to arrive.
• Security is built in. Every record is encrypted on-device before it ever leaves the field. AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit.

Who it’s for

Any team that fills forms in the field. We’re starting with the industries where the pain is sharpest: construction, mining, energy, logistics, agriculture, maritime, and manufacturing. But the platform is industry-agnostic — if you have field data to capture, FormRift can handle it.
